17 Year 13 students from Monkton School (Bath) TM will make an inaugural visit to Bristol ChemLabS for a morning of practical work on Transition Metals and an afternoon of talks. These will be joined by 20 Post 16 students from Churston Ferrers Grammar School (Devon) working on benzocaine synthesis. Bristol ChemLabS will be working with Chris Hall (Churston Ferrers Grammar School) in the organisation of their visit. A maximum of 27 KS4 students from Carterton School (Oxon) will also be present extracting caffeine from tea during the morning before joining the others for talks and a lecture demonstration during the afternoon. Bristol ChemLabS will be working with CHeMneT member Chris Chadwick in the organisation of this event.
